Alpacas
Beaver Creek Ranch, home of Rosa Linda Alpacas is owned
and operated by Linda Louise Williams.
Just who am I and where on earth is Beaver Creek Ranch?
I am a retired pet cemetery owner from the Howell- Brighton area of southern Michigan. I have spent 30 years of my life raising and breeding various breeds of canines. In 1995 I was able to purchase a 40 acre farm in lower Northern Michigan. The farm which I officially named Beaver Creek Ranch is just above beautiful Higgins Lake, and 10 miles south of the small community of Grayling. The property came complete with a darling boarding kennel and small pet cemetery. As one could imagine it is the perfect place for my retirement. Shortly after moving in I began to think about just what could be done with all this extra land.
With
the encouragement of a friend who already owned alpacas
it did not take long for me to fall in love with camelids
and to acquire my first pair. This fall of 2007 I am
celebrating 11 years of learning and growth in the alpaca
industry. My numbers are still modestapproximately
25 at any given time on the ranch. I sell just a few
each year to buyers from all over .
I
am proud of the quality of genetics in my barn and really
enjoy working with new alpaca enthusiast. I never would
have believed that I would enjoy this adventure as much
as I do.
I am 56 years old nowa healthy, single grandma
with my own big truck, tractor and every tool you can
imagine. I am living (and I say truly living) the lifestyle
you read so much about. I can swing a bale of hay with
the youngest and toughest of my farm helpers, and I
plan to wear jeans till the day I diehopefully
at least 105 years old.
I sincerely invite you to visit with me, if you are
at all interested in purchasing alpacas, and get the
scoop from a very low keyed no hype educated breeder.
